    Chicken Salad Chick

Chicken salad isn't really something I think about too often.  I know it exists, I've seen it out in the world. It's not anything I'm usually jumping to order.  However, I was recently invited to try Chicken Salad Chick in Mt Pleasant, and I must admit: I'm converted.

Tucked in a shopping center right over the bridge off of Coleman Boulevard in Mount Pleasant, it's convenient to pretty much every part of town.  Every part of town, except for my part of town.  Why does that matter?  Because after trying their food, I went back.  I went back for lunch. I went back and grabbed food not-at-all-on-the-way-home for dinner.  I went back because I was craving this thing I'd never really thought of before trying Chicken Salad Chick:

I went back for Chicken Salad.  I drove over three bridges and got on multiple highways... for Chicken Salad.

Oh yeah, and for Grape Salad, which I didn't even know was a thing until I went there, but now I know.  Now I know, and I need it.

    Grape Salad. Who knew?!

They also have a killer broccoli salad that has a really light dressing on it ( i.e. it's not that heavy, soggy stuff you might have had at a church picnic before ).   I love broccoli and bacon, so for me, this was pretty much a winner right out of the gate.

I also had the opportunity to try some of their catering bites and they were SO good. So yeah, the next picnic you throw or attend really has no excuse for bad broccoli salad ( or anything else ), because Chicken Salad Chick makes it so crazy easy to order a ton of stuff to feed a crowd, and not go broke in the process.

If you don't want just plain chicken salad ( which is how I like it ), you can dilute it with some bread or a croissant, too.

    TL;DR:

Chicken Salad Chick great dine-in lunch spot with quick grab-and-go and a robust catering selection.  Order at the counter, fill up your own drink, place your number on the table, and they will bring out the food.  I dream that I will go to a party one day with their strawberry platter and that ridiculously delicious liquid-marshmallow tasting fruit dipping sauce.

    Eat:

Classic Carol, Dixie Chick, Fancy Nancy, and the Grape Salad.  Also, they have some options on their catering menu that are awesome that are not on the regular menu ( like some SUPER good cranberry chicken salad aka Cranberry Kelli  phyllo cup bites and Pumpkin Cheesecake ).

    Drink:

Sweet tea, if that's your thing.  It's not mine, but to each their own.

    Wear:

    Casual

    Locate:

    280 West Coleman Blvd.
    Suites F&G,
    Mt Pleasant, SC 29464

    Park:

Tons of parking in the parking lot directly in front of the restaurant.
