Welcome to Basil & Bubbly! I'm Marianne - and I run the show here. I spent the last 18 years in Charleston, SC, and still have a love for it, although I recently moved back to my hometown of Atlanta, GA. My recipes are fueled by my love of the Lowcountry, Georgia, Southern food in general, with a heavy influence from classic French cooking as well.
I'm a proponent of eating local, fresh ingredients, and mostly natural, if not organic. There are a few exceptions on the blog, but for the most part, expect to see my recipes reflect the same!
It's best to take everything I say in person and on the blog with a grain of salt. I am sarcastic, and my writing reflects that as well.
I live in Atlanta with my two girls ( cats ), where I love to dine out as much as I love to stay in and cook. I love a 12 course molecular gastronomy tasting menu with grower champagne pairings as much as I love a 2 AM Taco Bell run - which is to say, A LOT.
My personal motto: Champagne and Stretchy Pants.

Hi Marianne,
I just came across your site while looking to try something a bit different tonight with grilled rack of lamb. Your recipe sounds like it will just do the trick. The lamb is now in your marinade in the frig. I'll use charcoal on the Weber and let you know how it works out.
