Ingredients

oz
canned whole
peeled San Marzano tomatoes

tablespoons
butter

large onion
peeled and cut in half
½
teaspoon
salt
Instructions
Place all of the ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat.
Simmer, uncovered, for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally, and breaking up the large chunks of tomatoes as they cook down.
Remove the onion and serve the remaining sauce.
Notes
Y'all don't throw that onion out! It's DELICIOUS! Eat it up!
