This traditionally hot St Patrick's day cocktail recipe gets a revamp with a frosty, creamy twist: I present to you the Frozen Irish Coffee.
For whatever reason, I've never loved hot cocktails. I mean, everrrrrrry once and a while I'll be in the mood for a traditional Irish Coffee, but for the most part, I'll take frozen over hot any day of the week.
Probably because it's usually roughly 180,000 degrees in Charleston, and hot + alcohol just doesn't feel like a great combination.
I think frozen drinks get a bad wrap. They aren't necessarily all frou frou, and heck, even if they are ... who cares?! They are delicious.
And most, just like this one, pack a real punch. Dessert and a little buzz? Sign me up.
Do you ever drink frozen cocktails? I'd love to hear about your favorites in the comments or on Instagram!
