How to Cook Brats in the Air Fryer

Regardless of the type, cooking sausage in the Air Fryer is a great way to ease into your new appliance! You don't need to do any prep - just place the bratwursts into the basket of the air fryer, turn the air fryer on, and then cook until the sausages reach an internal temperature of 160F.

How long does it take to cook brats in the air fryer?

Super quick between 12 and 14 minutes - but like all air fryer recipes, it will depend on your individual appliance. Start by cooking the brats for 6 minutes, flip them, then cook for another 6 minutes, let rest for 10 minutes and check their temperature. They should be 160 degrees F when cooked.

    how to air fry brats

If you want to cook brats and peppers together in the air fryer, toss slices of peppers with olive oil until they are coated, place directly on the grate of the air fryer, and then place the raw sausages on top of that.

After the first 6 minutes of cooking, stir the peppers when you flip the sausages, and then continue to cook for the remaining time. The peppers should finish at the same time as the meat.
