Everything Bagel Seasoning is having a moment, y’all, and I can’t say I’m hating it. Everything Bagels have always been my favorite, and once I saw the seasoning being sold on its own, I realized I HAD to make my own homemade Everything Bagel Mix!
I’ve been putting it on errrythang. Baked some salmon with it, rolled up hotdogs in puff pastry and covered the pastry in it, and also made some killer Everything puff pastry breadsticks with it to go with a little smoked salmon mousse.
Way beyond the salmon and puff pastry of it all, I could still put this on a million other things.
One thing to note though – this seasoning MUST be made as written. You need the dried minced garlic ( not the powder ). Same goes for the minced onion.
Oh and the salt… you must use the Maldon Sea Salt. You can get it at Whole Foods for an arm and a leg, but on Amazon it’s nearly half price ( Funny, aren’t they the same company now? Oh well. ) Click here to buy it: Maldon Sea Salt.
I bet you’re thinking, “Ugh I don’t need some fancy salt.” But y’all you DO. You NEED this salt. Get it for this seasoning, and then be prepared to have your world rocked by how amazing this salt is, and wonder what you could have been putting “the good salt” on all this time that you’ve missed out on.
What will you do with Homemade Everything Bagel Spice Mix? I’d love to hear about it in the comments ( and let me know if you have a favorite salt like I do! ).
